In 2020 we made many efforts to promote Access to Justice for SRLs:
- Ongoing research into the SRL phenomenon, particularly through our work on the SRL Case Law Database
- Updating and rebranding our collection of “primers” for SRLs (this work continues into 2021)
- Publication of numerous resources around COVID-19
- A revised and updated National and Provincial Resources Directory
- Intervening in the Alberta Court of Appeal case Jonsson v Lymer
- Completion of our Family Law at the Public Library project
- Continued publication of The Access Revolution Blog
- Continued growth of our podcast, Jumping Off the Ivory Tower
- Various user feedback projects contracted by tribunals, governments, and courts
- Continued growth of our website and social media platforms
We are especially proud that our work was recognized in 2020 with the prestigious Fodden Award from the Canadian Law Blog Awards (CLAWBIES)!
