Asha has been interested in law since high school when she joined the LAWS program. After a 5-year stint in Japan, Asha returned to Canada and decided it was time to pursue a career in law. She graduated from Centennial College’s Post-Graduate Paralegal program with honours in 2023 and became a licensed Paralegal in 2024. Asha currently volunteers with the Ontario Association of Black Paralegals to help spread awareness about the Paralegal profession and systemic injustices within the legal system. Wanting to help increase access to justice, Asha is currently enrolled in LSO’s new Family Legal Services Provider program, which allows Paralegals to practice family law. In her role as administrative assistant at NSRLP, she hopes to help self-represented litigants find the resources they need and assist the NSRLP to provide more resources to the public.
