CLEO (Community Legal Education Ontario) has launched three interactive flowcharts designed to help people understand and navigate the family law court system.

The first flowchart takes users through the opening steps in a family law case, including consideration of legal issues, as well as making a separation agreement and thinking about alternative dispute resolution. The next two flowcharts take users through the process as either an applicant or a respondent, from filing or responding to an application to going to trial.

By clicking on each box in the flowchart, users get detailed information on what is required at that stage in the process. They are also directed to all the relevant family law rules, forms, and guides.

The Steps in a Family Law Case flowcharts are available on www.cleo.on.ca.
