Family law information session: a different topic each week. After each presentation, there will be time for questions and answers, with an opportunity to speak directly with representatives from family law service providers, including Legal Aid, Student Legal Services and Family Justice Services. For the topic of the week, call the Edmonton Community Legal Centre at 780-702-1725 or visit www.eclc.ca.

Legal Resources: Presented by Alberta Law Libraries and the Law Information Centre, this workshop will give you a better understanding of the court system and the legal research process. We’ll introduce you to text and online materials and teach you basic search skills that will allow you to conduct legal research on your own.

Legal Resources – Wills and Estates: This workshop covers various types of will and estate instruments, including will, living will, power of attorney, guardianship and trusteeship. We’ll also look at the circumstances under which each instrument should be used. You’ll leave with a checklist of important things to consider before speaking to a lawyer or having a will written.
