We shall be closing the Project for the month of July and the first two weeks of August to allow for vacation time, administrative tidy-ups, and some recharging of the batteries. If you write to us during that time, please do not expect a full reply until after we reopen on August 17th. We shall be maintaining a small social media presence during this time, so you will not be able to completely forget about the work of NSRLP, but Julie and Sue will not be fully back-on-deck until mid-August.

Our fall 2015 projects are already numerous. We expect to be able to publish the results of our research projects with collaborators Judith da Silva (McKenzie Friends) and Katrina Trask (summary judgments) in the fall. Advisory Board member Rob Harvie will be concluding his “public participation audit” (Rob is soliciting the level of public participation in provincial A2J initiatives, committees and related think-tanks) and we shall publish those results. NSRLP will be promoting A2J questions to ask political candidates in the upcoming federal election. Our theme from October through the end of the year will be law and conflict resolution – Julie will be focusing a number of her blogs on developments in this area that are pertinent to access to justice and the SRL experience.

Until then…we hope that you can each find some time to relax and do what makes you happy this summer.

Julie & Sue
