NSRLP is excited to announce that a grant from the Canadian Bar Association Law for the Future Fund will enable us to substantially upgrade and update our ten SRL Primers, generic guides to different aspects of navigating the legal system including legal research, working with opposing counsel, preparing for a hearing, and working towards settlement.
The SRL Primers have been a central focus of our work at NSRLP for the past four years, and they are widely used across both Canada and the US. We will use the CBA grant to improve the accessibility of the Primers by integrating the latest approaches to plain language and legal literacy, and incorporating graphics and visuals into the text. New Project Coordinator Moya McAlister will be taking the lead on this project, and we plan to roll out the new, upgraded Primers during 2019.
